Under NGM, since 2010, the men & women prison ministries have been a long-standing part of the ministry, bringing compassion and hope to those who are often forgotten. Through NGM’s representative, Mrs. Among, her once a month visit, with a friend, provides practical support through essentials of toothpaste, brushes, blankets in cold weather, socks and T-shirts for men, sharing the Gospel through spoken word, Christian literature distribution and individual prayer, bringing many to salvation on the spot.
Some of the women prisoners are young mothers, with accompanying babies, who were used as mules for transporting illegal substances. For prisoners who have no family or friends to visit them, these acts of care can bring hope in some of life’s darkest places, reminding them that they are not forgotten and that lives can be transformed through Christ.
